For me, the mermaid symbolizes a deep connection with water, which is not only the source of life, but also a calming refuge for the mind. Water is relaxing, rejuvenating, soothing and helps to quiet the mind. Thousands of harmonizing hues shimmer in it, accompanied by the reflected glow of the sun. Part of this composition is a willow, which is my beloved tree that falls like a waterfall with its branches, loves water company and often drops it from its leaves. I continue to hold and deepen my intention to explore aquatic environments and find joy in connecting with water. This summer, sometime after painting this and several other pieces, it turned out that my intention had indeed come to life and continues to unfold as I explore the rivers and lakes of Portugal. All thanks to my beloved husband!
